Is Google down - or routing error in CA somewhere?

Pings to www.google.com don't 'come back' (time out) and a traceroute currently shows:

4 171 ms 136 ms 151 ms interconnect-eng.xxxxxx1.level3.net [xx.xxx.xxx.xx]

Thanks for posting this. I just came back to FR when I couldn't get to Google News. It's always good to know it isn't my computer/connection.

No problems from the mid-west. I heard today that Level 3 was having some problems. Maybe your problems are related to that.

From previous discussion, I assume that we are in the same general part of the world. If you hadn't posted what you did, I would have thought that the problem was with a name server at this end. You "occidentally" left off the first two links, so I couldn't be sure of your location.

I've been looking around from my end and don't see anything odd. Even Keynotes Internet Heath o-meter doesn't show anything unusual.

But you aren't routing through Level3 anymore. Now you route through exodus. Looks like there's still problems with Level3.
