Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I'm here. Just got home from work. Still feeling a little stretched from the all-nighter last night and only 5 hours sleep this morning.
But, it was a good all-nighter! :-)

What a cute picture. Is Gracie OK after her fall; and more importantly, are you? I wondered if anything started swelling in the days following the rollover.

I was just blown away! It was so awesome! I took two Advil before we even went into the movie because I knew that if I cried as much as I thought I would, I'd have a roaring headache when we came out. Worked like a charm; didn't get a headache at all! Of course my eyes are burning even 3 hours later! I'm glad I brought the Kleenex box with me!
PJ done good, and I hope he's rewarded come Oscar time. Sean Astin was great; he should be rewarded as well!

The local movie twit (Worcester's Telegram and Gazette) gave ROTK two stars! He did the same for FOTR and TTT, as well.

I can't remember which one of ya'll said it earlier today... but somebody was saying that we should shop and send care packages to the troops during entmoot.
I think that's a GREAT idea!!! I had been planning to bring the customs forms so that I could get off my normal weekly packages while there and I was kinda hoping that I might enlist some help because I am always buying the same items. So, I will have the postal forms and addresses and WE WILL DO THIS!!
And while we're doing it, 'twould be really cool if some of ya'll would write the notes to go in the packages!!! I would love for the guys to see ya'll's names on some things other than just me writing down your names as contributors. So, think about that if you don't mind. Cause I think it would give them a real charge to hear from some of ya'll! :-)

Girl, you just seem the bring out the worst in those crazies,ya reckon this could splain my marital status! :-)
Seriously, I don't know what's going on this year!!! The first 2 years I taught were normal in this respect. The only problems I had with students were more within normal lines. You know, people not studying, not showing up for class, wanting other people to do their work for them. And then, this year is like having a 4 month long full moon to bring out the nuts!

Report from view two..... picked up a lot more... the movie is even better after view number two.
ecurbh, Ramius and I went again to the afternoon show.
Right at the end of the movie, when they cut to the return to the Shire.... A guy from about 6 rows forward of us gets up and walks out.... I think, odd time to go to the bathroom.... hmmmm...
He returns a couple minutes later with a manager and points and says "that guy" to a guy who sat right behind him and sits down. The manager kneels down and speaks very briefly with 'that guy' for a minute and walks back. I think.... Hmmm.... that was distracting, hope that is over.
30 seconds later, the complaining guy stands up and in one motion sucker punches the guy behind him. Hard. Not a word was spoken. This was right at my favorite part of the film, the nice wrap up.
Most of the crowd sat watching to see what would happen. A couple of guys actually stood up and moved closer like they were perfectly willing to jump in and assist whoever the injured party was. A couple people said something like "what-the...."
They all sat down, and several seconds later the guy who got decked got up and walked back.
Two minutes later the guy who decked him snuck out the side entrance with the people in his group. I bet his friends were more than a little annoyed that they missed the end.
Heh.... I didn't know what to think.... You don't see a guy getting sucker-punched during the movie every day. Had he been rude throughout and the guy in front had finally had it? When he complained and the guy was not ejected, did he get pissed and seek his own justice, or did the guy have a smart ass comment or a kick to the chair to get back for the manager's warning? We don't know. If the guy was a vigilante dealing out some theater ettiquette justice, I have to say I think he ruined the end of the film for more people than he 'saved'. It was hard to refocus on the film. I am really glad this was not my first viewing or I would feel robbed of a great moment.

Oh man, I think the guy may have left early so the other movie-goers wouldn't jump HIM for spoiling their viewing!! I can't wait to see it again!

Wow!
I must admit there were a couple of times yesterday when I'd have liked to do that to the guy behind me... but there were a lot of people in the theater talking so he wasn't the only distracting person. Ya gotta wonder if it was a situation like that... but, heck, ya miss even more of the movie when you have to go past shshing.
I think this means you are just going to have to see the movie again myself. There is nothing else to do about it!
