This is so simple, even a caveman could understand it. There is NO WAY to adequately audit and verify what an electronic voting machine is doing at the digital level. One tiny line of imbedded code, either software or firmware, hidden in the device, can manipulate vote totals without anyone being the wiser. Otherwise, why is simple counting software so complex that it has to be considered ‘proprietary’ to the manufacturer?

Incorrect. The ballots still exist after being counted. You can audit by hand counting, which was done.
The way the steal was done was by inserting phony ballots. That is why chain of custody is essential.
