New video was resurfaced showing NPR’s new CEO Katherine Maher complaining about the first amendment on a panel hosted by the Atlantic Council.
According to the Daily Mail:
Maher called the First Amendment the “number one challenge” in American journalism during a panel discussion.
Maher noted the First Amendment provides a “fairly robust protection of rights,” making it “a little tricky to address some of the real challenges of where bad information comes from.”

Her #2 challenge is telling the Truth. “Truth often gets in the way of getting things done.”
Sounds like he’s cut from the same cloth as the new NPR director.

The door was opened when hate crime laws were enacted. Because it’s but a small step from there to the criminalization of “hate speech”.
And just what is hate speech? It’s any speech the left doesn’t like. And that includes deliberately spreading “false information”. Which is any information the left doesn’t like. See the pattern?

Imagine that!
In my lifetime, there was always the radio on the stool in ythe corner of the dining room. The tv box was upstairs in the living room. When I came home from school, I would do my homework by that radio.
That radio station saw to it, to bring all points of view, without worry of communist ideology, since anti-communist laws still existed.
Now, wouldn’t that be tefreshing, these days?

Apparently she believes she has been entrusted to redefine Truth among other things- not in my world she is🤓 and as its said im “ not required to participate in her delusions , fantasies and ideas”

S what if there’s *bad * information out there? And so what if people believe it?
People can believe in what they want as long as they leave others alone, which the left refuses to do. They cannot stand the thought that someone out there is outside of their control.

This situation may culminate in two very good things. The calls for Maher to resign are growing so maybe she will. Secondly the calls to stop federal funding of NPR are also growing. NPR has always been associated with the broadcasting of state sponsored (leftist) propaganda but now that the FedGov has so many other reliable ‘news’ outlets at their disposal, FedGov may allow the funding cutoff.
It must be they think they have already won, except for mopping up.
