My daughter told me of her dating attempts (mid-20s), “There is Toxic Masculinity and there is No Masculinity but nothing in between!” She also thought the majority of guys she met were in the “No Masculinity” camp - and many of those are in the Army!
OTOH, my son says a lot of guys see no point in marrying someone who, 5-10 years later, will take half of everything they’ve worked for and move on.
If I was in my 20s, I’d seriously consider not marrying.
Exactly. My daughter has problems finding qualified men, however my teenage son, reports woman all over him….I attribute that to my training… shooting Ak’s and Ar’s from the age of 14, attending Church WITH friends, up at 4 AM on the weekends to catch the fish, up before school starts to get to the gym, no TV in the house, no computer games, prayers every day…..in short * a strong, young, Christian man*. Amen.
I was backstage at a Travis Tritt concert. (My radio station had the “presets” on the show) We started talking about marriage. Travis said, “Paul, I have found the solution to marriage. Every ten years, I will find a woman that I cannot stand, and buy her a house.”
Many of us who are mothers of sons have these same fears on their behalf, when we see what destruction selfish women, the “no-fault” bonanza for divorce lawyers, and Democrat family court judges have done to marriage, and to fatherhood.
