Large factor? The Forced JAB.
Those leaving due to that will never forget that betrayal.
It was intentional from the lying UN and US Department of State to destroy the US Military’s ability to defend US.

I wouldn’t go back into any Army that considers it “wasis” and a “hate crime” to call a recruit of any skin tone, gender or species a maggot.

US army and air force caused this problem, let them work it out.
A foreign invader would have to be on the beaches before I’d tell my sons to fight for this demented azz wipe, woke, gaslighting CIC!

Reading the requirements and policy, what is the incentive other than returning or staying in a uniform? Why not simply waive High Year Tenure and the 30 year maximum for enlisted? Waive it for three years then see where they are at. Retirees that are eligible to go thirty or over generally retire because they feel it is time. Those forced out by HYT or 30 year limit may want to stay on. An extra four years to retire adds money, but also taxes.

I’m assuming you still have to be Covid jabbed to enlist?
If not, what a cruel joke on all those fired for refusing to get jabbed.

Great point!
When I got out, the civilian market for my AFSC (rating for Navy) was the highest it ever was (Crypto-communications and Computer systems).
I got three times my military pay.
Sometimes I do wish I stayed in. I actually enjoyed it, and ignored the political BS.

Too bad for me, I turn 70 next month. Same here. They've got about 42 days to recall me.

I’d go back into recruiting, but not if they’re still forcing mRNA injections.

This has come around again gives the draft dodgers from the 60’s and the chicken sh*ts on FR their kicks I guess...
This is what I posted a couple of times...
“The age limit is 70”
Bummer...still too damn old...
After 9-11 tried to join back up and they said I was to old.
Maybe they will eventually want a very fit 75 year old...
To: pepsionice
Having only done 6 years with no pension I’m not subject to recall. But IRC the DoD can *order* certain retirees back to duty. I guess they can also “invite” a retiree to return in an effort to avoid forcing someone back to active duty.
To: Red Badger
Just imagine the kinds of woke and diverse “superiors” that you would be serving under. No thanks. And the military cannot meet recruitment goals. Yet, the Lord Jesus showed, a few diligent dedicated faithful subjects with right motive are better than many with lower standards.

(AFSC) is Air Force Specialty Code. I was 303x2. AC&W RADAR.
Maybe you trained in an AF program?

I guess that entire code system has been revamped since I left in 1989. I was just curious about using “AFSC” related to the Navy.

The FReeper I was replying to was OldGoatCPO. I assumed he was a retired US Navy chief petty officer.
I did a lot of joint duty so very familiar with MOS versus AFSC versus rating.

I understand you. I spent my time in a Purple command. I had an Army Sergeant, two Air Force Senior Airman, and a GS working for me. There are lots of funny stories from that tour. I prefer Navy Commands, not because I was a Chief, but because they did not know how to deal with a Chief. You had Chiefs like me that bleed Blue and Gold, and you had Chiefs that bled purple. Purple Chiefs go along to get along; I did not care. My rank was terminal. I drove an Army First Sergeant crazy. My Army Sergeant kept telling me, Chief, you cannot talk to him like that. My reply was always, “Why not? He is an E-8, and I am a Chief; I do not work for him, so why do I have to kiss his a$$.” That was when the GS would start laughing. She did not help the situation.
