I can give the UFO contactees answer—but you will find it a hard swallow.....
They claim that there are both natural and artificial portals/wormholes between dimensions—many here on this planet.
If there was a supernova or other powerful star activities it would effect other dimensions if open portals were available in that sector, otherwise there would be no significant effect.
