John Saxton is trying to create another false narrative, because Dmitry Peskov is clearly stating that Tucker misspoke, because they have had requests for interviews from western journalists, but they were all rejected. He then clarifies that Tucker would not know this, but I'm pretty sure that John Saxton knew exactly what Dmitry Peskov had said in full, but he chose to omit the salient parts which didn't fit the narrative John Saxton wanted to create.

Piece reads exactly like a Snopes fact check. The fact is, no other journalist interviewed Putin. Whether or not the Kremlin turned them down for being biased, is entirely the point. It means that so far, there has not been a single credible journalist make the request, at least in the Kremlin’s eyes.
