FAA’s Controversial Practices: Secret Code Words and Unusual Signals Allegedly Used for Employment Advantages
Citizen Watch Report ^

Recent revelations suggest unconventional practices within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where students associated with the Black Caucus of Federal Aviation Employees were allegedly given secret code words for their resumes. This practice aimed to fast-track their applications to the front of the line.

Even more astonishing is the claim that individuals could be prioritized by stating that their lowest grades in high school were in “Science.” Allegedly, sharing this information resulted in preferential treatment, allowing applicants to skip ahead in the hiring process.

Obama is directing the left to colonize every agency and lever of power in the federal system. This and much more egregious stacking of the deck for party insiders is only going to gain pace and effect.

Basically, a way to be covertly racist against white men.

I remember when this country was more of a meritocracy. The people on the bottom didn’t like that very much. I guess they fixed it.

At least they weren’t qualified or anything.

Can’t have that.

We need to put the free market to work—these code words should be for sale to the highest bidder!

Meritocracy is tranny!

Of course our government was never meant to be a meritocracy, but a representative republic. The economy, and at one time the academy, was a self-described meritocracy, but that worked to everyone’s advantage. The best students became doctors and engineers. Our bridges didn’t fall, our doctors saved lives. Unlike, I dunno, Fauxi.

The least competent and industrious were served by the best. Now the most ruthless and worthless seek to enslave us.

Not a shock. This practice happens across the Fed for hires and promotions.

Why is there allowed to be a “black caucus”?
If that isn’t racist I’ll eat my hat.
Oh, I forgot. Only whites can be racist.
Still hard to believe they floated that one.

I long for the Reagan days when he told the air traffic controllers that if they went on strike they faced being fired. It was his final word on the subject. At the minute they rebelled and left the places they were seated they were canned. The hubris of thinking they were above the law as “government employees”, they made the mistake of their lives. Ready in the wings to take over, those who were in the military. They took over and performed the same tasks, only better. Not one commercial plane was ever at risk on that fateful day. Oh for a leader like him. He was born for such a time.

“Ready in the wings to take over, those who were in the military”

Oh most of the PATCO controllers were ex-mil. In 1981, probably 90% of ATC’s were.

The truth is that the supervisors just did the same work as 3 or 4 controllers. Recall that led to limited numbers of flights, and some other issues: a 727 ahead of me on an approach got called for a go-around because the supe let a slow departure go in front of him. Lotta those guys were rusty.

But in general they dialed back the noise and stuck to the basics. That means they gave instructions once and let the pilots fly their airplanes. The frequencies were a lot quieter, and mysteriously everyone found the airports and landed their airplanes.

The reality that the system could run with about 1/3 the number of controllers that PATCO thought was necessary was a bit of a revelation, and showed how much of air traffic control was just officious crap.
