It dawned on me long ago that Nikki Haley “would be” eminently suitable to find a way, by hook or by crook , to be the Democrat’s nominee for President, existing party affiliations be damned -—the Uniparty being what it is, she is in no way one of the “good” Republicans, not even in any of her rhetoric.And this has come to pass-I knew she would issue an invitation to all Democrats to vote for her as the ONLY alternative to Trump to keep him from getting the nomination.Assuming the unlikelihood of her getting enough of their votes to rob Trump of the nomination she’d then (supposedly) find herself in a position to run against......who? the as-of-yet non-existent Democratic nominee? How would any of this work?

What if Trump was to counter sue Carrol, say, for defamation of character.
He would have to produce evidence in a court of law, in front of jurors.
