If space aliens show up they’ll have come from someplace thousands of light years away, meaning they possess a technology so superior to anything we have we wouldn’t stand a chance against them anyway.
They would probably have a list of ten thousand ways to annihilate us—probably let one of their kindergarten classes take a vote on how to proceed.
