Fani Willis Finally Makes Some Comments on 'Improper Relationship' Allegations, Says 'Racially Motivated'

Fulton County DA Fani Willis spoke at the Big Bethel AME Church in her first remarks pertaining to the scandal about an alleged "improper relationship" with the man she had named to be a special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, to bring the case against former President Donald Trump.

She was accused by a defendant in the case, Michael Roman, of appointing Wade and having him paid nearly $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022. Documents in a filing by Roman also showed what appeared to be payment for two meetings with the White House, which raised concerning questions about possible coordination.

Willis claimed during her speech at the Church that the accusations were racially motivated.

Willis pointed out during her speech that the other two prosecutors assigned to the case, Anna Green Cross and John Floyd, both are white, and noted that allegations have only emerged targeting the two prominent black members of the prosecution — her and Wade.

“Isn’t it them playing the race card when they constantly think I need someone from some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I’ve been doing almost 30 years?” she asked.

Or maybe it's because she allegedly appointed her boyfriend, which is exactly what Roman said.

“The biggest difference between Ms. Cross, Mr. Floyd and Mr. Wade is that Ms. Willis is not in a relationship with Ms. Cross and Mr. Floyd,” he said in a statement to the Constitution-Journal Sunday.

Why do people question her appointment of the special counsel, she asked. She described Wade as a "great friend" and "great lawyer." While she listed his qualifications, she didn't comment further on what relationship she had with him, and she didn't specifically deny that she had a romantic relationship with him in her remarks.

She tried to bring up race again, saying were people questioning because they were doubting the qualifications of a black man? Why were they questioning her ability to make that decision, she asked.

She even managed to attack Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga), criticizing her over the case, “I never want to be a Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has never met me but has allowed her spirit to be filled with hate."

"You cannot expect black women to be perfect and save the world," Willis said. "The Lord is completing us, we are not perfect. We need your prayers, we need to be allowed to stumble. We need grace."

"We are all flawed, sinners, unworthy, imperfect, damaged," she said.

Somehow I don't think that response will cut it with most people, if these allegations are true. It's a simple question that she really didn't answer, although she certainly pontificated and spoke about Jesus a lot.

Willis said that she would be filing a response formally in response to Roman on the allegations.

If you want a real adventure in slinging it, you can hear more here on the full video. The part related to the case starts around 14:52, the part about expecting black women to be perfect is at around 34:00.

You walk into a black church and start your defense talk by admitting you were fooling around with a married-guy, paying him money for services, and saying mostly ‘I-ain’t-done-nothing-wrong-by-stealing-some-woman’s-man’.

Every married black woman in the church should have gotten up and walked out.

What a vile evil woman. She pulled out the “THAT’S RACIST” card and “Jesus is on MY side” card.

These democrats really piss me off. First off the entire prosecuting is ridiculous and involves legitimate political behavior which is not criminal.

Next she goes her unqualified boyfriend, pays him too much and he uses the money to take her on vacations.

Then she had the balls to say it’s racial, which just means she’s a damn racist.

So now her victims, the defendants, are doubly persecuted because she’s calling them racist.

But I’m sure there was no other qualified prosecutor. /s

She should be investigated and probably be the one on trial.

The “racism” charge has become like the “Hitler” argument; bringing it up means you know you’ve lost the argument.

And adding the faux religious part is more of the same.

God will notice more than I.

No one is more surprised than me that she’d play a race card.

Willis won’t touch this w/ a 10 foot pole.

Nathan Wade, DA Willis’ hand-picked prosecutor, was held in contempt
of court last year for defying a court order WRT divorce proceedings.

This occurred around the same time Wade was gearing up to indict Trump
on spurious charges (allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election).

The judge in Wade’s divorce case ruled:
<><>Wade had “willfully” failed to turn over documents about his income.
<><>while DA Willis was paying him tens of thousands of tax dollars
<><>more egregiously, Wade’s expense account subsidized romantic trips w/ Willis.
<><>Wade’s wife and mother of his children was penniless at the time.

Wade’s wife learned later Wade’s income included money he had made on the Trump case. Wife
Joycelyn has now served Fani Willis with a subpoena requesting that she testify in the divorce case.

Willis pointed out during her Big Bethel church speech that
the other two prosecutors assigned to the Trump case are white.

She raced to play the race card, noting that injurious allegations have
only targeted her and Wade..... the two prominent black members of the prosecution.

Reality check: that’s because, AFAWK, Wade and Willis are the only two
prosecutors getting it on at various tourist destinations, amply subsidized using tax dollars.

The guy pissed off his wife not only by cheating on her, but then by lying and hiding his massive income - which came courtesy of the ho he was banging on the side while the wife was left penniless.

The wife retaliated by by blowing him and his ho Fani Willis out of the water by letting the defense know all about all the details. At the very least, Wade should’ve paid his wife off and hopefully kept her quiet but he was too stupid to do even that. Then again, this is the same guy who billed 24 hours in a day and who wrote directly “meeting with White House Counsel” and billed for it on his invoice to the state! What a moron.
