the problem with the equipment losses as a metric for uke success—is that the rus now have a war economy and finances to sustain it. They can sustain 3-1 losses for years. All they have to do to win—is to not lose. A cease fire in place would be seen as a win for the rus. Because all they will do is wait 10 years and then return again.
For the Ukes to have any chance of breaking the stalemate on the front line—they have to break Russian air superiority in Ukraine.
If this news is true—they may have done so.
