quotes from a review:

With the guidance of where to live and what to live in, the author then dwells on commuting by foot during such times, and endorses the Grey Man Ethos: ‘I try to look as neutral and as ordinary as I can. Most of the time, I just wear jeans and a t-shirt. I stick to black, blue, dark green, or gray.’ He advises that the typical home invasion occurs during leaving and entering, to be aware of that risk and to ‘keep your keys handy. You don’t want to spend precious minutes diving in your purse or bag looking for them at the door. Keep them attached to something where they are easy to retrieve at all times and have the exact door key ready when you approach the door.’ He emphasizes that this type of situational awareness is important because there can be increased risk of kidnappings, especially in middle-class and more well-to-do areas. Therefore, it is important to conduct oneself in as non-descript a manner as possible. If the currency of one’s country has lost 70% purchasing power in the last 90 days, this is not the time for conspicuous consumption. This is the time for restraint and discretion.

...the author also provides detailed guidance about vehicles, including the advantages of having a motorcycle (small size, ability to maneuver around roadblocks, travel off the road, lower gas consumption, and good for rural routes and small towns). Ferfal provides detailed guidance for types of cars to own and how to drive defensively. This includes pieces of advice I would not have expected, such as most serious kidnappers spending months studying their target, wearing glasses with shatter-proof lenses, and the increased risk of fake police checkpoints and car accidents.

Learn which products have longer shelf life and store them in a cool, dry, dark place away from rodents and insects. Check the basic food groups and make sure you’ve got them covered...’ ‘For boiling water there are those little gadgets that have a heating element and a cord that uses normal household electric current.’ He also gives advice on edible game in the city including cats, doves, and pigeons. Furthermore, he emphasizes the importance of water storage and the importance of having at least two weeks of potable water, plus water for a few flushes and showers. He suggests that silver impregnated ceramic filters with active carbon filtration are worthwhile water filters. This book is simply replete with lots of practical guidance, and it is a little difficult to do that justice.

Pivoting to the topic of self-defense, he suggests that boxing ‘will give you quick hands and you’ll learn to punch well instead of relying on heel-of-the-hand or open palm techniques.’ His basic points with hand-to-hand fighting include the advice to react violently, keep your guard up, have a plan, expect the attack, stick to simple moves and strikes, to have continuity in your attack, and with sparring to use a mouthpiece, and gloves, and avoid poking eyes, kicking testicles, or breaking fingers. With knife selection, he advises to stick to quality brands, get an effective fighting blade design, and to go for a serrated edge. He also provides guidance on a variety of unconventional weapons (chairs, bottles, baseball bats, steel pipes, pens, umbrellas, nail clippers, keys, brass knuckles).

“After 1933, not only was most gold banned in the USA, but bank deposit boxes could not be opened without a federal tax agent from the IRS present.”

One in 10,000 finally listens. I can not begin to explain how fed up I am with people. I am not trying to sell something like the rest of the pundits, just telling the truth to thousands of willingly deaf people. I have had ALL I can take.
