I think you're hitting on something there. Picture this:

Trump names Tucker VP.

Tucker goes on the campaign trail. The Left makes a huge issue of Tucker believing in aliens.

Tucker defends himself, pointing to the "witnesses" he has interviewed.

The Left debunks the witnesses.

The witnesses debunk themselves by acting nuts or simply saying they were lying the whole time.

Tucker looks like an absolute fool, as does Trump.
