From the Arlington Cemetery site:
The memorial has images of it…“Two of these figures are portrayed as African American: an enslaved woman depicted as a “Mammy,” holding the infant child of a white officer, and an enslaved man following his owner to war. An inscription of the Latin phrase “Victrix causa diis placuit sed victa Caton” (“The victorious cause was pleasing to the gods, but the lost cause to Cato”) construes the South’s secession as a noble “Lost Cause.””
I can understand why some people might not like that depiction of the war. Certainly, my relatives who literally gasped life and limb, did not consider it a lost cause. And while the confederate academics argue that the war was not about slavery, it was pretty clear from contemporaneous writing from my family that was the reason they and more of their peers were there.
I am all for the confederate soldiers being buried there. I am all for allowing statues in Richmond, or flying their silly flag on your truck. However,Suggesting that the union fought a war that is “a lost cause” is an insult to the thousands of soldiers buried there.
Give them time! The Leftists will soon be coming with their spades, to dig up and desecrate those graves.

Well, the South lost, didn't it. So wasn't it a "lost" cause?
Regards,
“I am all for the confederate soldiers being buried there.”
Very kind of you, but nobody asked your permission.
They are American soldiers. As American as you and me.
Thats sort of the point of the monument
Its not the first Ezekial monument to be torn down due to wokeness.
