As President Trump continues to dominate the 2024 GOP presidential primaries, attention has turned to who he will pick as his running mate. Now, we have a list of names Trump and his team are reportedly considering, but a potential wild card lurks.
On Thursday, Axios published an extensive piece detailing the potential makeup of a Trump Cabinet in a second term. The 45th President and his team’s primary focus is ensuring all positions in government will be filled with people loyal to the America-first agenda and Trump.
As Gateway Pundit readers know, Trump’s first term was marred by disloyal RINOs and globalists seeking to sabotage him at every turn. John Bolton, Mark Esper, and William Barr were some of the most notorious figures.
Axios also reveals that Trump openly speaks to his friends about several possibilities for running mate. The key consideration outlined by Trump and his closest confidants is agreeing that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen and former Vice-President Mike Pence betrayed the country by allowing the election’s certification.
According to Axios, here are the four individuals under the most serious discussion by Trump and most trusted advisers:
** Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) – Axios notes he might prefer to remain in the U.S. Senate.
** Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as the White House Press Secretary from 2017 to 2019.
** Former TV anchor and current 2024 Arizona GOP Senate Candidate Kari Lake
** South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem
The outlet also notes Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) desires the running mate position.
Trump and his team have also mentioned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
But in an interesting twist, former First Lady Melania Trump is pushing for her husband to select former Fox News host and X/Twitter star Tucker Carlson. Moreover, she would reportedly be willing to campaign cross-country for the ticket.
From Axios:
...more
I think it will be Tucker Carlson.
Most of that list provides no help.
West has been carptebagging in Texas long enough to need a change of venue.
But you better check his performance in the last Texas gubernatorial election first.
PS I like the thought of MTG I must admit.

She’s too reckless. But then.... So is Trump.
AXIOS! LOL
I will say, i dont really care who the VP is. Trump must get back in the white house. Compromising on the VP to ensure that isn’t a big deal. Trump chose to give Pence responsibility but ue really didnt have to. He could have made him attend funerals and the like. Yes, it would be nice to have a true successor but that isn’t priority #1. Giving Trump huge numbers in the primary will strengthen his hand on getting the VP he wants though so....let’s make sure he has massive victories and insurmountable turnout in the primaries, starting in Iowa and NH!
Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson is running for governor; wouldn’t be a VP possibility. Lets hope he doesn’t get Daniel Cameron(ed) in 2024.
I want Noem or General Flynn. Both are patriotic and could lead this country if something were to happen to Trump. Noem is pro hunting and fishing too.
Yes Ben Carson is kind of sleepy, but a great and sincere supporter of Trump. He is the kind of calm and “laidback” VP Trump might need.
What a waste these debates are. But what else would we expect from the desperate scam artist politicians that support the GOPe as controlled opposition only, to the ruthless Democrats who rule over them.
That’s so silly. Barack Obama was President, that genie is out of the bottle. SCOTUS hasn’t even ruled on it so to say it’s unconstitutional is, at best, just a strongly held belief. Vivek could allow Trump to run as a statesmen as Vivek lauches bombs. Not saying that is the best strategy but it’s an option. Don’t let them lull MAGA into a false sense of Security. Let’s take care of the primaries first. No air to Birdbrain and Desanctimonius.
West ran a very weak second place in the 2022 gubernatorial primary dominated by Gov. Abbott. West barely led the third-placed candidate, former state Sen. Don Huffines.
Sorry, but Sarah, Kari and Tucker are not interested in your butt.
(Don't you just hate stupid spell check?)
Trump isn’t going to select his running mate. The GOP leadership is. So you can dismiss anyone who doesn’t have establishment ties … hence, my view that Kristi Noem is the odds-on favorite.
Tucker, yes!
Give it to Lake. She got burned by these lying misfits just like Trump... |
Trump/Lake. This time our elections WON'T be stolen!
Doubly so considering the Baitway Pundit connection.
The VP isn’t like a cabinet post. The candidates run as a ticket but the President and VP can theoretically be elected separately. The nominee doesn’t select his own running mate.
Assassination insurance.
MTG or Matt Gaetz.
Whoever he picks has to be 10000000000 percent loyal to him..no more of this “Well the person is the anti trump so its a good fit” NO, it has to be someone who is 100000 percent behind him, not stabbing him in the back, or talking behind his back, 1000 percent loyal to him period

Well that leaves Tucker out.
