Another day, another leak.
Former Vice President Mike Pence trashed President Trump to Special Counsel Jack Smith earlier this year in a closed-door testimony.
Chief Judge James Boasberg, an Obama appointee ordered former Vice President Mike Pence to testify before a grand jury about his conversations with President Trump related to January 6.
This was an unprecedented attack on Trump’s authority and executive privilege which is derived from the constitutional separation of powers.
Jack Smith was present at the grand jury proceeding during Pence’s 5-hour testimony in April.
According to a leak to ABC News, Mike Pence told Jack Smith that Trump hired a bunch of “crank” lawyers who espoused “un-American” legal theories, and almost pushed the country toward a “constitutional crisis,”
Pence also told federal prosecutors that Trump was acting “recklessly” on January 6, 2021.
“In the first few days after the election, Pence never saw any “significant allegations of fraud,” according to what he told Smith’s team, sources said. But Trump still declared victory — and claimed there was “a major fraud in our nation” — within hours of polls closing, though Pence allegedly told investigators he believes Trump was speaking “in very general terms,” not about specific instances of fraud.”

Everyone asks “Why didn’t Trump pick better people?”
to which there are two answers
1) he did - but only after 2-3 years in office and seeing how the deep-state continuously attacked him. Remember too, McConnell controlled confirmation of ALL major positions, so having a deep-state turd like that with a veto over your decisions is very difficult. Moreover, McConnell even led Trump into lawfare traps - particularly with his recommendation of the snake Sessions

2) Trump was nearly a total DC neophyte. He had to rely on recommendations from, and cronies of, the traditional DC establishment. The fact that these people mostly turned out to be back-stabbers only showed me how corrupt and tainted everyone in Washington DC is. Trump’s greatest service was simply revealing that to average Americans like me.
How much do you think he got paid? What is the going rate to purchase a politician today?

Ok, let’s assume everything Pence said is true. Just for sake of argument.
What is the crime?
Acting recklessly?
Hiring crank lawyers?
Giving an opinion that there was fraud in the election?
Those aren’t crimes. They just aren’t. They may be stupid in Pence’s mind, but find me the crime.
Oh wait, Hack Smith is the master of finding crime as he de-facto writes his own knowing a DC judge and jury will buy anything.

Absolutely poison for America and the so-called GOP.
Pence is a Christian the same way Judas was a Christian.
In the beginning, many of us thought quite well of him. He turned out to be an enormous disappointment.
I honestly don’t know how he thought we’d vote for him for anything, after all of this.
(And if he thought so poorly of Trump, why did he remain in the position?)

Trump has been in open war against ALL the weapons of the deep-state now for over 8 years. I hope/assume he has learned a lot about fighting this war, who his real friends are, and I also expect he has developed a strong urge towards vengeance which didn't exist in 2016
I don't know him personally, so its only my guess. Besides - who are the other choices? Joe Biden? Nikki Haley? Gavin Newsom?

Who the hell is Jimmy Boasberg to conduct an Inquisition of the President’s policy attitudes? Is he the shadow President? Did that come with the special powers afforded by the so-called “FISA” court which he abused for the sake of his own government masters?
The Judiciary in this country has completely delegitimized itself with their unending power grabs. The rest of the government doesn’t serve at their pleasure.
