Yep. Got firewood stacked high and a Champion dual fuel genny plus a smaller backup one to run the well house. We’ve had power go down for over a week in the dead of winter. It’s a hard lesson for the unprepared.

> Is the Biden administration ensuring our gas and coal-fired power plants are winterized and have enough fuel? Of course not. <
I would be thrilled if Biden’s team would just do nothing, and let private industry take care of things. But Biden is doing something. He’s actively making things worse.
You just wait. When the outages come, they will be blamed on Climate Change. So of course we must increase the government’s command and control.

that the local coal-fired plant cannot be closed. Instead, it will be expanded and its life extended.Under Obama's cap and trade plan, no one will be able to afford to run a coal fired plant.
For a greenie to ignore one of Obama's fundamental points, that alone should land him in prison facing life imprisonment.

Well, we would not be having problems like solar cycle 25 if we all rode bi cycles instead of driving fast comfortable cars all around.

Ditto for us. We have a dual fuel generator up at our rural compound that will run our entire 38 ft RV. If the lights go out we take off for the compound and hole up there glampng in style indefinitely. 😎

Unlike Zeihan, Bloomberg does not understand that the transition to green energy he is funding will destabilize our power grid, damage transformers, and cause long-term outages. Sure he does. Bloomie just doesn't care.

Michael Bloomberg called for 90% instead of 100% reduction of US CO2 emissions as I recollect.

Biden’s EPA will require by existing regulations ‘green’ hydrogen or CO2 recapture by 2032.
Expect soaring electric bills.

Most happily....Greenie Bloomberg’s $500M plan to crush coal-fired power plants is sailing
onto the rocky shoals of America’s re-industrialization demands for a robust power supply.
The stupid billionaire never figured energy demands might include the huge $4 billion Panasonic electric vehicle battery plant in Kansas that requires so much reliable energy that the local coal-fired plant cannot be closed.
Instead, the coal plant will be expanded and its life extended.
Happy days are here, again, no thanks to the greenies.

The dumbasses trying to knock down the dams in Idaho and Washington state to "save the fishies" is going to cause huge problems with electric power supply, water for agriculture, transport of harvested food to market and flood control. The plans are being done in secret with the "native Americans", but completely exclude the power generators, farmers and voters. It will totally screw up the northwest. It will make farm land fallow. Those wonderful Idaho potatoes won't be grown for lack of water.

Not worried. I live in Florida. Bitter cold Winter does not show up here.We had a low of +2F in Pocatello this morning. We might warm to +29F today. My son left Pocatello for Pensacola. He likes it thus far. I chose Idaho over San Diego. No regrets thus far.
