I have many friends who are professors at UNC. Yes, they are very liberal. But no worse than most of the other state universities in this country.
I’ve noticed that hiring often takes place in cliques. For example on several campuses, the lesbians took over the philosophy departments. Diversity is just used to weasel in, then the rules of diversity do not apply.
