She was born in New York City on Sept 24, 1941, and died in Tucson, Arizona, in 1998.
Perhaps the greatest Beatle mum.
She had childhood fantasies of living in a log cabin and spent much of her life living with their kids on farms with Paul.
Linda lead her man from the world’s 1960’s obsession with Beatlemania into a rural life raising a family. As his wife and as the mother to their children, she gave him the healthy base where he created what many people now see as the first two great Indie albums, “Ram”, a homage to domestic bliss, and “Wild Life” where McCartney attempted and mostly pulled off a Dylanesque commitment to spontaneity in the studio.

George Burns smoked every day of his adult life, and died at 100.
I still believe in healthy diet and exercise. But Linda is a reminder that you're not in control of your lifespan.
Winston Churchill drank like a fish, and had a cigar in his mouth often, and still lived to be 90.
Saw her and Paul with wings in Venice Italy in 77 I think it was.
Fantastic show in the Piazza San Marco.
She was no Yoko….thank goodness.
Only the good die young.
When it came to singing ability she was.
with all due respect...Paul McCartney and WINGS was and is the only band i ever truly hated...literally made my skin crawl...
When it came to singing ability she was.
When it came to singing ability she was.
Carson: George, how many cigars do you smoke a day?
Burns: around 20
Carson: what does your doctor say about that?
Burns: my doctor is dead.
Carson falls out of his chair laughing.
Linda by Jan and Dean.

After the Beatles broke up they lived on her money until McCartney got his own thing going again. I think she was worth like $100 million.
Thanks. I did not know that!
Why the HELL would a man who’s loved her, as I don’t doubt McCartney did, let her do that in public. My only guess is that that channel wasn’t going to the power amps and that this is some prick sound guy putting it out there.
The only WINGS song I know of is "Live and Let Die." It's also the first bad James Bond theme song.
Rock music is inappropriate for a Bond movie.
Maybe he didn't have the guts to tell her she was bad?
Sort of like when a wife asks, "Does this dress make me look fat?"
Maybe I’m amazed?
To which Andrew Dice Clay would answer “No,its the fat that makes you look fat.”
best song.
Vegetarian or at least an interview of Paul stated that’s what he was, not vegan.
