Just one of the greatest rock songs of all time, in my opinion. An absolute masterpiece from a legendary band.

This might be the best rock tune of the 1980s — and one of the most underrated of all time. The guitar work on it is exceptional.
Ping!
One my favorites!. Very haunting song
They had lots of great songs that never get radio play (except on Sirius/XM:
-Mirror Mirror
-Rock Brigade
-Lady Strange
-Comin Under Fire
just to name a few.
Mutt Lange ruined AC/DC and Def Leppard IMHO.
Greetings. We’re still standing. Looks like someone else noticed what a good song this is.
I am usually the "start" ham radio operator, announcing the sequence number, car number and time of each competitor as they depart start.
One time there was a wait for a while and Vivian Campbell (driver) and Tim O'neil (navigator) were in front of my Unimog for a while.
I got down and mentioned to them I'd never heard of Vivian before he got into rally driving and asked them which had made the other more famous. They laughed and said they had just been talking about that and didn't know.
I love Rock of Ages. What surprise I had when at a funeral for my friend’s grandmother, “Rock of Ages” was listed as a song to be sung. I looked at her in disbelief. Yes we sing that song. (WTH?)
The joke was one me when they started playing the Andy Griffith Show version on Rock of Ages.
Funny.
What’s the Andy griffin version?
Def Leppard was also one of pop metal bs de I couldn’t stand hearing. Almost like having to listen to Boston; terrible garbage then, and now.
Good story, but post #12 caused me to palm slap my forehead so hard that I’m now dizzy and most log off. Sigh...
I burned through two cassettes listening to that album. Coming under Fire was the best song on a great album..
RLTW
Excellent tune to start the day!
Different strokes......
Yeah, I tend to like some of their less popular stuff better. With a couple exceptions.
This one’s a typical metal lust song. But then most people aren’t looking for lyrical depth, so, perhaps therefor the popularity. Esp. if one is 18. (Some teen exceptions of course.)
Hysteria and Animal
I recently rediscovered my love for DL when they released an album with the London Philharmonic, Drastic Symphonies. Worth a listen if you are a fan!
