In 1968 Michael Warren was an All-American basketball player in an outstanding Bruins team. The, for me, he became the moral heart soul of the tv series Hill Street Blues with his almost constant decency and tolerance playing Officer Bobby Hill.

Now, in Australia, another black man named Bobby Hill, of Collingwood. Football Club, is thrilling sports loving people with his dash and class.

Last night, in Melbourne, Australia, Aussie Rules footballer Bobby Hill's goal kicking has been a crucial factor in a postseason finals triumph for his team.

God Bless Bobby Hill Now And Then

my compliments on having the memory and taste to go back to a time in America when, imo, sports and tv had great things going for it. haven’t watched tv or followed sports for 20 some years, but i doubt anything on tv today has the quality of Hill Street. and as for Warren, i agree, he was great, on a great team, with the greatest basketball coach who ever lived, both on the court and off. but then the late Coach Wooden always went with character and talent as a package.

i wonder where he is today and what he’s doing? hope he’s doing alright. you didn’t run very far with him on your blog just a mention and a memory.

I definitely agree that knowing more about Michael Warren now would be good.

But twelve hours ago a guy named Bobby Hill was in a crucial game kicking three decisive goals for the club I watched with my dad in the late 60’s and 70’s.

I am sure you will respect that focus from me now.

I thought you were talking about Hank Hill’s son Bobby. That kid’s not very athletic at all.
