This shows the beginning of a massive flood. Hard to understand some of the dialog of the speaker. Mostly useful to simply watch the beginning for a little and then skip to the end.

Yawn. Decades of bad land management. Days of warning. A fairly tame tropical storm. Get over it!

How does anyone know that this just happened as a result of the Tropical Storm currently wandering through California?

Pretty violent little flood. I don’t know about “massive” though. Granted that my point of reference is having lived not all that far from the lower Ohio and / or mid Mississippi River(s) over 55 years.

The Twitter poster (Reed Timmer) is a credible storm chaser, I doubt that he would post old or false information

Off subject thought today, that the merging of Twitter/X should rightly be named TwiX, but I think thats already taken by a candy bar.

I question whether it’s safe staying on that bridge, or that highway there with the type of debris and water coming through, very likely the washout of piling

Not much.

It’s like an average storm.

Typical for an arroyo with
heavy rains. I’ve seen much
worse in NM. When it becomes
bad, is when the flow breakes
from it’s established bed.
Didn’t look to me like this
one did that.

A lot of hype from an ameteur? That “flood” looks like a seasonal channel flowing in the very, very bottom of an enormous flood valley. And that’s not some road or bridge it’s flowing over, but a sluice.
