To: Delta 21

...because the REAL world is NOT going to be like homeschooling with siblings and mom or dad. One cannot be a light to the world if one seldom leaves the house.

That being said: If we would have had kids I might have gone that route. If we could have moved to the area of my Alma mater, home schooling would not have been necessary.

They do leave the house, though. Parents of homeschooled kids usually make sure there is enough interaction with others.

And when the kids go on to join the non-homeschooled crowd later, they can be the shining stars of their age group.

Someone I know who was not homeschooled but graduated second in his class in a public high school told me most of the guys getting his same physics PhD at an Ivy League university were homeschooled. Just one story, but even if it's the only one it is meaningful, I think.
