I thought that Trump was self-funding?
Now, the question is are we going to step up and help in in the fight?
Or are we like liberals, and think our freedom should be bought with Others Peoples Money.
Folks, you are going to have to earn your freedom and responsibilities. It is going to cost you.
There needs to be educational pathways to reasonable cost legal counsel.
Every nutjob on this forum that backs the Ukraine Slaughter hates President Trump. I wonder why that might be? /sarcastic
Once again, this is a total failure to appreciate unconventional campaigning. In 2015-16, he used rallies to make an end run around national media by forcing local media to cover the rallies without the hour up front bashing him and with limited time for snarky comments.
In this case, it has already been demonstrated that the majority of Trump voters (i.e., the majority of the GOP) believe he is unfairly charged; that everytime there is another indictment, his poll numbers rise and polling shows more and more Americans believe he is being railroaded and/or the Rutabaga’s DoINJustice is thoroughly political and compromised.
This IS ADVERTISING, the best kind. Trump could buy ads with that money, but this is every bit as effective. People still don’t get that.
I wonder if this is why Trump wants all of his opponents to drop out and send their campaign dollars to him. 🤔
That's an interesting first thought that comes to your mind about this.
For me, it's imagining the chilling effect on candidates not approved by the Deep State who want to run for office.
$40 million and counting. And it will go much higher.
No siree. Not a problem, right?
Oh look! It’s the “brought to you by Pfizer” parrot!
Isn’t it cute?
WASHINGTON, July 5 (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s main fundraising committee raised more than $35 million during the April-June period, a campaign official said, nearly twice what the group gathered in the prior three months.

The alleged document crimes can carry penalties that are along the lines of those of committing murder.
Trump might have to effectively serve what is a life sentence without parole for document possession even though he probably has the information in his head and could write the information down using a pen.
“I thought that Trump was self-funding?”
What basis did you have for thinking that?
I think in the 2016 campaign he spent $70-$100 million of his own money. Show me any other politician who comes even close to that level of personal investment.
Biden and Clinton spent zero of their own funds.
The fund — which, again, did not actually exist — raised $250 million, most of which did not go to election litigation, but to Trump’s newly created Save America PAC. The PAC then made contributions to Mark Meadows’ charity, to a conservative organization employing former Trump staffers, to the Trump Hotel Collection, and to the company that organized the rally that preceded the attack on the Capitol last Jan. 6.

“REPORT: Legal Fees Dominate Spending by Trump’s PAC”
massive fascist lawfare attacks against Trump by the leftist fasicst Deep State Democrats are the main weapons they are using against Trump, since they are unable to otherwised politically justify to the voting public that their total warfare against our way of life is what the voting public wants and wants more of ...
NONE of these lawfare attacks would have been levied if Trump wasn’t the GOP front runner and such a major threat to the Deep State, both in terms of their agenda as well as a legal reckoning likely to put many of the Deep Staters in prison ...
It is therefore reasonable that those attacks be countered with campaign funds ...
No doubt all of the anti-MAGA RINOs, pro-leftist-fascists, are perfectly delighted if Trump had to spend only his personal funds to fend of illegal fascist political lawfare attacks due solely to his oppositional leadership ...
Sadly, it seems like Trump’s attorneys are more interested in maximizing their billings that being efficient with their time.
This is why anyone being sued should study the law and cases for themselves before hiring an attorney.
If General Flynn had done so, he could have gotten his attorneys to get the case dismissed in very short order. His case was not difficult to defend since no one had ever been convicted under the statute charged; and, it was widely known the statute is unconstitutional. His attorneys were working for the government and not him.
Sort of the reverse of the Hunter Biden case, except the DOJ attorneys have been working for Hunter; and Joe. No one is honestly disputing this fact.
What Trump might do is to hire a JAG as a personal employee.
Such a JAG would have both a security clearance and a knowledge of military matters.
“The known legal expense of President Trump since he left office is about $56 million.”
The founding fathers had experienced the wrath of an all-powerful king and created a constitution to limit government abuses.
The constitution worked pretty good, not perfect, but pretty good for several decades.
Now, the feral government with unlimited funds, and unlimited police powers, are openly crushing effective opposition. Think about the power a prosecutor has with $500 million to spend enforcing two million pages of rules in the federal register.
Remember, ignorance of the law is not a defense. Neither is innocence if they don’t like you.
Consider the source...
Oh look - all the DNC spies have suddenly crawled out of the woodwork like clockwork on one post at the same time...
Say guys, while you’re here getting paid to shill - could you please pass on a few bucks to Free Republic so you can keep your jobs going too?
K-thx!

Thank Goodness those funds are available. Trump has those legal fees because he is running for President and deep state is desperate to stop him. Trump supporters donate so that Trump can return to the White House. He needs to throw off these illegal attacks by the DOJ and corrupt prosecutor to do that.
If you have a problem with this, I suggest you not vote for Trump. But it’s funny you have no problem sending $200B to Ukraine to pay for biden’s money laundering efforts. You are ether a easily manipulated leftest, or a very dishonest leftest. Now go cry to JimRob, maybe you can get me booted for stating the truth.
