I don’t see the issue. Look what we get when leftists confirm justices: Wise Latinas, not biologists, and queer trolls.

The party-line liar Chuck Todd lies again.
BTW, the Guardians of Gridlock Grover Cleveland vetoed 344 bills during his two terms. The only potus to veto more bills was the would-be court-packer FDR.

Cleveland?
Interesting choice for his lie, being as how Cleveland has been the only President to be reelected to nonconsecutive terms . . . so far.

What changed so the party of Lincoln was elevating a Confederate, KKK racist to Chief Justice? I’m surprised Todd missed that one.

“What changed so the party of Lincoln was elevating a Confederate, KKK racist to Chief Justice?”
Basically, Taft intended to be Chief himself, so he elevated an existing justice to fill the time
Taft likely expected to be reelected in 1912 but he wasn’t. Though it didn’t matter, since Chief Justice White died shortly after Warren Harding was inaugurated in 1921. And then Taft was made Chief. If White had died during Wilson’s two terms, then Taft wouldn’t have been Chief.

White was one of three Supreme Court justices after the Civil War who had been a Confederate soldier--not surprising since he was a white man living in Louisiana at the time of the war. The evidence that he was in the KKK is thin and apparently is mainly a report that he told the producer of "Birth of a Nation" that he had been in the KKK.
He was the second Chief Justice to have been a Catholic. Roger Taney was the first.

One cool fact about Grover Cleveland is that he was the only president to have personally hanged anybody. As sheriff of Buffalo County, New York, he personally hanged two convicted murderers on two different occasions.
He could have delegated the task to a deputy, but refused to do so on the ground that he should not delegate what he was unwilling to do himself.

“... which was in violation of the Biden rule.”That's the hilarious irony. It was Demonicrat Biden's big mouth back in 1992, when Bush I was president, that allowed the Republicans to keep Traitorgarland off the Supreme Court in 2016.
So then Traitorbiden appoints Traitorgarland as AG (confirmed by a Demonicrat Senate majority, with the help of RINOcrats).

Grover Cleveland was the last Jeffersonian Democrat to be elected President. He was in favor of the gold standard, opposed the American annexation of Hawaii, and used his veto power to oppose many spending proposals that he believed were un-Constitutional. From a small government, pro-free enterprise standpoint, no other succeeding President, including Harding, Coolidge, Reagan, or Trump, was better.
To: Carl Vehse
If the “fool-me-once” rule were still active, the Dems’ most recent Trojan horse (Merrick Garland) nominee should keep the Senate from confirming another Dem for generations.
