Like riots, BLM, de-funding the police, DA’s not prosecuting. No effect at all \s
“However, access to abortions is what Democrat voters, (and some independents), really care about.”
As long as the money continues to flow, funded by billions in borrowing, Democrat voters and some independents, will be happy. When the dollar collapses, and the SNAP cards are no longer renewed, they will riot.
Not the “jabs” themselves making this worse—it was the vaxx mandates for workers.
The virus has killed 6 million so far globally. Places around the world shut down at different levels of extent. So yes, a case can be made for these office buildings, globally, losing tenants because the virus created a desire to work from home and avoid exposure.
Why would anyone want to increase their, or their parents’ risk.
One guy above did point out work from home can be any home. The expats used to be retirees moving to Lake Chapala and enjoying spectacular weather year round at about 60% US prices. Now, younger folks are headed down there, because the internet enables that, and yup, 60% US prices.
I was chatting with someone who recently retired. She had been working from home for the last 8 years. I asked how was it going and she said I have less time now. She added I used to get a lot done personally during the day before!
That melded with a survey a few years ago wherein office staff said they probably spent about half their day actually working. Maybe anomalies but could be representative.
All of those empty downtown buildings will be converted to housing for illegals who keep pouring across the border. Pretty soon it will be “Press Dos for English”, and all of the coffee shops and Subways will be only selling tacos. Who could have seen that coming?
I’d take the Carter Country era now.
This is a result of work from home. It’s not a result of anything from Biden. Tradespeople can’t work from home because they are out doing repairs. But they also were never sitting in an office.

I think you are mostly correct. However, the violence in cities is causing some employers to switch to work-from-home for all or some of their employees. Baltimore is a prime example.
“office staff said they probably spent about half their day actually working”
My office (cubicle farm) was so noisy that I had to put on headphones playing trash metal as background so I couldn’t hear LaQuisha two cubicles down on the phone all day talking about her “good boy” and his latest run in with the cops.
If I had to use the phone I had to find an empty conference room to get the silence and privacy I needed.
In addition there were the endless stupid meetings about administrative garbage.
One of the joys of working at home was that I could listen in on a conference call while lying out in the sun—or if I had to multitask I could put the phone (or later computer) on speaker and continue on with my task.
It was night and day.
Once you have a good set-up at home most folks would never want to work in an office again...
Some folks say I am anti-social.
That is not correct.
I just want to choose who I associate with—no “diversity” in my world.
P.S. My boss kept giving me bonuses for my excellent performance while I worked at home—she knew it was going great.
Biden Country he can fail at anything and he has proved it for the last 50 years.
D’ R’s I’s in the senate called him the stupidest person in it and they were not joking.
All on purpose.
Prior to retirement, while working remotely I managed a remote staff in multiple states for 30 years, rarely with any issues. Hiring people who valued working remotely enough to take their job performance seriously was of course a major factor...but it certainly can be done.
My nephew and his girlfriend live together and both work from home for the same company.
Interesting arrangement.
Nothing but a Third World SHC and once the invaders are settled in the former UNITED STATES it is going to get worse. Our fault, we let it happen.
Agreed.
The smart thing to do would be to start converting some of those unused office buildings into apartments or dormitories.
Same with shopping malls, which could be turned into self-contained neighborhoods. Those would be especially nice for retirement communities.
A percentage of commercial office space will remain relevant. Most of it is zombie space, destined for a mass re-purposing, for the illegals and homeless.
At least Jimmy Carter lived long enough to see himself no longer considered the worst president in at least a century.
I'm remote. My guilty secret is that I insist on a full lunch hour, and I use that hour to take a nap. :^)

One of the many plusses! Until the last few years before I retired, my staff wasn’t paid OT - which allowed them a lot of flexibility in time-shifting their work day.
