I wonder how A-10s would fare over the Ukraine battlefield?You can't use them due to an active missile system. You'll either have to fly planes (or helicopters) very low or high to evade the enemy's radar.

The ability to deny the enemy or they us the operational use of air or sea means down and dirty ground fights. Now an enemy can ATGM to effectively deny armor also. Turns into a slugfest. Might as well be a knife fight.
