And drill your own oil wells. And build your own oil refinery. And run your own stockyard. And operate your abattoir. And grow your own cotton. And weave your own cloth. And sew your own clothes. And mine your own aluminum and iron ore. And smelt it. And cast your own engine blocks. And assemble your own automobile. And build your own furnace to burn your own natural gas from your own well in the back yard.

Right. Great idea.

Here’s a clue for you: it is NOT about veggies.

The two things easiest to grow in a garden where I live in Central kentucky are tomatoes and peppers. In fact, we have chickens that drop seeds all over the place and we end up with so many volunteer plants we really don’t need to raise any.
