I got a new art tablet a week ago, it's a cheap GAOMON PD1561 but it's good enough for an amateur such as myself.

I have been playing around with some of the AI art generator software and it is amazing what you can generate as a starting point.

My fav artist is Edouard Leon Cortes, an impressionist. I finally got the software to generate starting images based solely on his works and style... here are examples of the man's work. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Edouard+Leon+Cortes&qs=n&form=QBILPG&sp=-1&pq=edouard+leon+cortes&sc=10-19&cvid=B17B094CBEE0478ABBA1AF195CFCC159&ghsh=0&ghacc=0&first=1

I have posted a few of the generated works below, I did final crop and touch ups and adjusted colors and refined the parameters to the software... the results are not too bad. One image that I decided to add boats to came out a bit odd as I forgot to set the level of the water and it starts at sidewalk level..ooops.. hold onto the young'uns.

I set if for rainy street scenes at night, that's my favorite sort of images.

I did some other stuff and it came out rather strange...lol

This one I was trying to generate an image of Trump at Mar A Lago meeting with someone but it came out very strange, the people he wanted to see are buried in the street...

And in this one I was going for a scene in Ukraine but it looks downright demonic! lol

I tried making a meme with the inputs of "free republic + jimrob" and this oddity popped out.

I'm generating some images now that combine the Cortes style and the style of street scenes from "Blade Runner" and the results are interesting to say the least!

Some of these might be useful in Unreal Engine 5 as background..

Yup, it gets complicated the more you refine the images...

Here are a few more street scenes along with Greta and Winston playing banjos...

Left Cortes as it was, left Blade Runner style as it was, added a touch of Monet style.. you can see the Monet influence..especially in the first image.

I did these using various tools but I don’t really have any talent for art at all... that’s the amazing thing about this.

I decided I needed some new hobbies to take my mind off the coming apocalypse so I chose art and music.

I got an art tablet and a bunch of software and started plugging away... I also got a banjo, yup, an actual banjo..
I’m practicing every day but boy do I stink at the banjo!...lol

As soon as I can score an NVIDIA 4090ti graphics card I will start up with Unreal Engine 5... I have a few ideas for games.

Remember that no matter how silly you look you can look even sillier by just picking up a banjo...

And there’s no fool like an old fool with a banjo...

I’m an embedded system guy and so I bought an extra, identical banjo to experiment on... I’m designing a simple
device to automate the banjo without altering it in any permanent way. In this endeavor I have discerned that the key to this is the bridge so I worked up 3D files for a device to attach to the adjustment rods in the banjo just
beneath the bridge. If you 3D print a new bridge and embed tiny neodymium magnets in the bridge you can control its
vibration using a cheap ARM mcu without physically touching it.

Normally the strings vibrate the bridge which vibrates the banjo’s drum head to produce audio compression waves but manipulating the bridge by other means also works. You can
dampen or brighten the sound for instance or adjust the sustain and decay rates as well as simply add a bass accompaniment. You can control the functioning of the device
by signalling it with a short selection of notes or have it
watch for a particular section of a tune and alter the parameters when that point is reached.

Keeping track of the sounds playing on the banjo requires just simple Fourier transform routines.

I may be able to use a cheap ESP32 in place of the ARM and that would have the odd benefit of enabling the banjo to be on the internet and also control a bluetooth speaker system.

Added the influence of countless images taken near Times Square..

So Cortes, Monet, Rembrandt, rainy street scene, Times Square, and a touch of flavor from Blade Runner..these results are stunning!

Increased the Rembrandt style and got this, it's different but I'm unsure how Rembrandt's style changed it.

Added a large statue on the right side of the street but the AI thought it should have an umbrella since it is raining...lol
