RIP, Coach.........................
Mike Leach, Mississippi State football's innovative and influential coach, dies at 61
Leach battled pneumonia this season, according to ESPN. He also joked with reporters this season about a “trademark” cough he was working on after recovering from the flu. However, there was no indication his health struggles were of major concern.
RIP, Coach Leach. My condolences to his family, his staff, and players.
He was such a character - in a good way. Not the typical stoic college football coach.
Will always remember his “fat little girlfriends” rant.
RIP and condolences to his family.
RIP Coach, and condolences to his family et al.
Rest in peach, Coach Leach. Prayers for his soul, and his family’s comfort.
Rest in peace, Coach. You made in enjoyable to watch Texas Tech football.
RIP Coach Leach. He brought winning with him wherever he went and no scandals.
It’s a good thing he was forced to get a life saving jab. Can you imagine how bad it could have been? Sometimes people don’t know what’s good for them
Vax damaged immune system.

OMG! NO!!!!
We just returned from MS State for graduations of our son and son-in-law.
Our son is in the marching band. The last thing he is doing for the band will be performing in the Reliaquest Bowl in Tampa on January 2nd. We have tickets to attend the one and only college bowl game we will ever go to.
We love Mike Leach. We would listen to his after game interviews, for the laughs.
He did have a terrible cough. I bet it was a walking pneumonia type thing.
We are Deeply Saddened. That’s not a strong enough statement. Crushed is more like it.
Oh, Lord have mercy on his soul. Welcome him home. And console the many many people who will be grieving.
State is our rival. I’ve been following this & was so sad to read the news this morning. RIP Coach.
People die every day
Wanting to politicize it is obnoxious
For at least a third of the people with heart disease the first indicator is a massive heart attack and death

From an Auburn fan . . . good man, good coach. He was a credit to the SEC. His memory will live on strong. Comfort and peace to his family in my prayers
As a college “educator”, I don’t doubt that Leach probably got the jab and some boosters but he’s never struck me as a healthy guy. At his last game, the Egg Bowl against instate rival Ole Miss, Leach looked like he was laboring through what was a close and important game. He had pinned his tired appearance on having pneumonia a few weeks earlier.
Good thing it didn’t happen on the field on national television. Which reminds me, how are former head coaches Mark Mangino and Charlie Weis - two absolute blubberpusses who were the antithesis of healthy living. Still alive?
R.I.P Coach Leach, “The Pirate”. His high scoring offenses were fun to watch. His coaching tree has led to his offense being implemented throughout college football. Was a very interesting and honest man on a number of subjects.
