Perhaps it is shallow and simplistic to draw parallels from the ancients. Maybe America’s best and brightest years are in the future. Who knows?

But what we do know is that over the last several decades the U.S. government has pursued many of the policies that brought past empires to ruin.

Military misadventures. Currency debasement. Growth and protection of an elite political class. Greater and greater encroachments on economic freedom, personal privacy, and individual liberty. The celebration of freaks and self-mutilation.

On balance, if the Roman state deserved collapse, shouldn’t the American state deserve collapse too?

‘Economic PRISM’ Blog! Sorry!

(Though ‘prison’ is apt, LOL!)

Yes, it is necessary for America to collapse, if it does not repent. You can only violate the natural law as to how God intended man to live only so far before you have run out of ways to avoid consequences.

I really do believe that God is using these moments to make it undebateable as to how we should live, so we will live as we should in eternity.

It hurts like a bugger now and I wish I didn’t have to face the consequences that I did not create, but it is for our own good in the end.

I remember reading in the Old Testament that God promised Israel that it would disappear as a nation and just be a rumour if it did not repent.

I believe that is how God handles all nations.

I hope that the Second Republic of the United States will do better. It should have fewer than 50 states.

I always laugh at leftists using “The Handmaid’s Tale” as an example of “rightwing tyrany.” Funny thing is that in order the premise to work, there has to be a totalitarian government in place. The same government the left is trying to force on all of us

There is a bidenesque globalist cancer eroding the American nation from within.

“Politicians merely appeased the masses through palliative programs of ‘bread and circuses.’”

Our modern version of bread and circuses is far beyond what the romans could even imagine as being possible. Imagine if the poorest romans were the most likely to be obese. And no one had to leave their climate-controlled dwelling to be passively entertained by an ubiquitous electronic screen culture.

Yes, it is shallow and simplistic, primarily because technology has accellerated positive and negative effects so much.

Effects which took centuries previously now take years.

The biggest single difference is speed of transmission of information and control over the flow of information.

As the ability to transmit information has increased by several orders of magnitude, the ability to control it has also increased.

We already are collapsing. Grab a seat, and if you aren’t prepared for a month (+) of disruptions, it’s on you.

Yes, Liberals are too evil and Conservatives too cowardly for this country to exist.

One rarely mentioned reason for the fall of the Roman Empire is that its citizenry was wildly over-confident.

Rome was powerful, Rome was eternal. So there was no need for any course-correction. Rome always triumphed in the end, and would continue to do so.

Well, no. Rome’s luck finally ran out and the empire collapsed.

Most Americans feel the exact same way as those ancient Romans did. Big mistake.

The thing that held down inflation for the last thirty years was China being allowed to take most of the lower echelon jobs in America. This kept the price of goods artificially low as China’s economy was artificial in that the state set the value of their currency instead of the market.

Now the Chinese labor factor is out of the equation because of their Covid lockdowns. The thing keeping American inflation “low” today is that the American dollar is the world currency. Although Americans would say they are suffering the worst inflation ever that is a comparison with the last thirty years which was in effect “unreal” as we were exploiting what is essentially a slave state’s labor.

Today the American government is printing money as fast as they can click a mouse, but it is the rest of the world that is taking the majority hit for those policies. America is exploiting all of its allies and the others who use American currency as their medium of exchange. In effect, America is peeing on the rest of the world in a (I think) futile effort to keep Americans from realizing just how much the world has changed and how badly off American citizens really are.
What we need are reasonable policies that feature cheap energy. What we need is to ditch the Global Warming idiocy.

Eliminate the Federal Reserve. although painful, it will solve our problems and restore the Constitution as intended.

It will limit money-printing and debt creation, which ultimately only benefits centralized power and fed.gov sanctioned cronies.

Yes, Fed.gov could debase money all on its own after that - but let’s face the problem in front of us now, shall we?

Get rid of the top 20 most populated democrat cities, along with the New York Slimes and Washington Compost, and you have peace on earth. It’s as simple as that.

So the question is: How do you go about doing it?

Do we need Russia to drop nukes? Do we need God to rain down meteorites? Or do we inject all democrats with a special vaccine that slowly kills them off? Stay tuned.

The individual state governments ( all 57 of them) are the fail safe mechanism. The Ferral Giverment can fail and state(s) can declare independence and “move on”. That is the system as designed.
