Another hidden classic jam! This band was very influential and pioneered the progressive rock sound.

“Evil Woman”? Must have been inspired by Liz Cheney or Lisa Murkowski.

THAT SONG IS SEXIST! 'She' may identify as a 'he', or 'she' may identify as a 'they', or 'she' may identify as one of an ever growing list of pronouns, such as 'attack helicopter'. How terribly sexist!

Did Jeff Lynne have a premonition about one of these two wymyn when he wrote that song in 1975?

Great song.
For some reason though, whenever I heard the song on the radio back in the 1970s, I thought they were singing "Medieval Woman" in the chorus as opposed to "Evil Woman."
Lot of classical influences in the music of ELO as well as a touch of The Beatles - especially in songs like "Mr Blue Sky".

Lot of classical influences in the music of ELO as well as a touch of The Beatles - especially in songs like "Mr Blue Sky". Someone once asked John Lennon what he thought the Beatles would have sounded like if they had stayed together and kept recording into the 1970’s. He said they probably would have sounded like ELO.
