The husband of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx summoned police to their south suburban home to report that she had battered him during a domestic incident last weekend, according to Flossmoor Police Department records that CWBChicago received through a Freedom of Information Act request.

And, CWBChicago has learned, the state’s attorney’s chief of investigations, former FBI agent James P. Roache, has abruptly resigned.

I don’t get the ‘connection’

The implication is that in any report of domestic violence there are to be arrests.....if nothing else for a cool down period. It was a law put in place specifically to prevent the worst from happening.....and its a good law.

Since Foxx was not treated as a ‘typical’ person and arrested, the prosecutor resigned as a matter of integrity.

I’m also thinking there is more to this story than we are reading, but that’s my take.
