In almost all treatment of disease, early treatment is better. This is particularly true in the use of hydroxychloroquine (a zinc ionophre) that blocks the initial burst of viral replication within cells. Ivermectin works to prevent viral entry into cells and also acts as an anti-inflamatory (as does hydroxychloroquine) to ameliorate the damage done by the virus. I take 20 MG ivermectin weekly based on body weight and quercetin (another zinc ionophore) and zinc, vitamins A. B, C, E , and K daily as prophylatics. So far, at ninety years old, I've only had an occasional sniffles.
