The Brit cars of that era were fun to drive but very temperamental. I know someone who restored a TR6 and he learned the hard way why Lucas is called "the Prince of Darkness". Why do the British drink warm beer? Because Lucas makes refrigerators, too 😃😃

Love the picture of the Lucas bottle! I had a ‘58 4/4 Morgan and I had to lift the bonnet(hood) every morning to sand the ends of the fuses to get it to start.

Miss that stupid thing.

My mother’s sister and her husband had a ‘63 Jaguar E-type that was in the shop every few months getting a new fuel pump. Also, if you drove it through a puddle the ignition system would short out.

Other than that, it was a great car.
