Notice the OBVIOUS trick that Kinzinger tries to pull off. He keeps repeating that Ray Epps was not an FBI AGENT. Of course, he wasn't an FBI AGENT. Nobody is making that claim. However, Kinzinger does NOT deny that Epps was an undercover fed. Only that he was NOT an FBI AGENT. Right, because you don't have to graduate from the FBI academy at Quantico and carry a badge to be an undercover fed.

An informant is NOT an undercover federal agent; they are not generally a federal employee, they do not need to hold a clearance or pass a background check. They can be (and often are) felons, or anyone with the right connections to collect valuable intel.
