CNN’s new streaming service is facing major cuts after a disastrous start that fell far below projections.
Chris Wallace left Fox News for a new job hosting on the platform, CNN+.
After being poached by disgraced former network boss Jeff Zucker, Wallace celebrated his move to, what he thought, was a stable and well-funded new streaming service from CNN.
But it has been a total disaster plagued by low subscription rates and shows that viewers are not interested in.
And now it appears as though the new bosses at CNN have had enough.
According to a new report from Axios, they will make dramatic cuts in investment and projections for the new streaming service as they try to figure out what to do with the failed project.
CNN was planning to drop around $1 billion to get the streaming service up and running.
Now they will only spend a fraction of that which means cuts across the board, including shows with “stars” like Wallace.
Axios reports: “Investment and projections for CNN+ are expected to be cut dramatically in response to a low adoption rate, two sources tell Axios.
“By the numbers: The news giant was initially planning to invest around $1 billion in the service over the next four years.

Did they start?
How would anyone know?
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
All I can say is, bwahahahahahahahahaha
I wonder if people like CNN know I wouldn’t watch their crap if they paid *me*? 🤪
Yet no one at CNN has the slightest notion of cause and effect.
You can’t fix anything unless you are willing to accept why it is happening and deal with that cause.
Everyone who has basic cable. Because cable providers seem to all think a channel that nobody watches is the one indispensable channel that must be on all basic cable subscription packages. And thanks to that, CNN has never had to care about ratings. Streaming, however, is a harsh mistress for channels that make content nobody wants.
Nobody watches their cable broadcasts so they had a brilliant idea... “Let’s start a streaming service that nobody will care two rips about”. Brilliant I tell ya’.
Ah, the sweeeeeet taste of Schadenfreude a la mode!
Why would people pay to watch something they will not watch for free.

Glad to hear. I hope he has a nervous breakdown and dies. F**k Chris Wallace and his commie Dad.
Hey, maybe the TV station in North Platte, Nebraska, needs a reporter. But be warned, they won't put up with any fake news.
Fire the prick.
Excuse the double post, something went haywire after I hit “post”.
Don't you need viewers? Once they got kicked out of the airports their strategy was fake news. If it weren't for phony Pelousy impeachments they wouldn't have made it this far. I would suggest that “news midget” was a more appropriate phrase (but that would be seriously unwoke!)
