Anyone who thinks Kevin McCarthy would make an effective Speaker of the House should reassess.
(snip) Years later it was discovered that Kevin McCarthy was living with pollster Frank Luntz in Washington D.C. despite having a wife and kids in California.
And in May of 2021 McCarthy said, ““I don’t think anybody is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election. That’s all over with.”
On Thursday McCarthy described the January 6 protests as a “violent insurrection.”
His goal is to please Democrats and the media.
The Daily Mail reports:
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has conceded that January 6th was a ‘violent insurrection,’ saying he agreed with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s description of that day.
‘No one would disagree with that,’ McCarthy told reporters on Capitol Hill on Wednesday.
His clarification comes after McCarthy was mocked by Democrats for walking away from an ABC News reporter who was asking him about the Republican National Committee censure of Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney for serving on the committee investigating the insurrection.

They need to be trucked.
Mitch controls the GOP.

Guess everyone has forgotten Ronald Reagan’s admonishment = Speak bad only of the other party. Fer cripes sake it is the democrats who are the bad guys. Unless the Rs stand together, ferget about any winning of the midterms.
Plus the 145 GOP House members that voted for Liz Cheney to lead them away from MAGA last February.
What about the November 4th insurrection?
McCarthy needs to be Cantored. These House leaders have been far worse than a mere disappointment.
The GOP leadership ARE Democrats, stop letting their R jersey camouflage confuse you.
McCarthy cannot be Speaker of the House. He’s a RINO, just like Graham and The Turtle.
Jim Jordan would be a magnificent Speaker of the House.
