People who tell the truth don’t worry about being called liars.
They will make up something about you, then when you dispute it they will call you a liar.
I wish that were true. When totalitarians are in charge may be far less frightening to lie than to dare tell the truth. Of course the one who does is not in fear of mearly being branded a liar, but being treated as a “liar” by the state.
