Colorado is currently seeing a serious spike in COVID-19 cases, making it one of the most infected states in the nation, and according to Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, the experts do not know why.

But there is one thing that he is certain of: He will not be issuing a state mask mandate any time soon, KCNC-TV reported.

Why? Well, Polis suggested Friday that critics of his decision look to the Centennial State’s neighbor to the south.

New Mexico is currently experiencing a COVID surge similar to Colorado’s. The Land of Enchantment has also had a mask mandate since August.

Gov. Polis faced questions Friday about mitigation efforts, including mask mandates, and told reporters that though he continues to encourage people to wear masks, he does not plan to institute a mask mandate.

“Scientists simply don’t know exactly why our region has a spike,” Polis said, but he recognized, based on New Mexico’s experience, that a mask mandate is not the answer....

Although I don't know if New Mexico legal citizen majority voters were given much of a choice about masks, Colorado Democratic governor's decision, based on effectiveness of New Mexico 10th Amendment-based mask policy, is an example of Justice Louis Brandeis "laboratories of Democracy" metaphor at work imo.
"[...] a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose, serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country." —Justice Louis Brandeis, Laboratories of Democracy.

Insights welcome.

The ultimate remedy for unconstitutionally big, alleged election-stealing, Democratic Party-pirated federal and state governments oppressing everybody under their boots...

Consider that all the states can effectively “secede” from the unconstitutionally big federal government by doing the following.

Patriots need to primary federal and state elected officials who don't send voters email ASAP that clearly promises to do the following.

Federal and state lawmakers need to promise in their emails to introduce resolutions no later than 100 days after start of new legislative sessions that proposes an amendment to the Constitution to the states, the amendment limited to repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.

Again, insights welcome.

“Colorado’s Democratic governor points to failure of New Mexico mask mandate to declare he will not make citizens mask up, despite current COVID surge”

which is why the so-called mandates from the state health agencies and county health agencies are a complete sham: they’re unenforceable without a emergency order by the Gov ... when you read them they say “strongly advised” and “should”, not “shall” or “must”, but the colorado media lie and say they are mandates ... retailers in my area know this and are NOT attempting to enforce these unenforceable orders by kicking customers out of their stores ... we shop maskless everywhere we go and no one says boo-turkey, though most of the sheeple in boulder county wear their little masks like the compliant peasant subject of fascism that they are ...
