One of the things you learn as a litigator is not to make promises to the jury unless you’re certain you can deliver on those promises. The prosecutors in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial forgot that rule. Not only did they fail to deliver on the promises in their opening statement, but they also lied in their closing statement (along with insulting the jury and misstating the law, all of which are big no-noes).
Before getting to the lawyer stuff, the judge did something important, which was to dismiss the gun charge against Kyle. Contrary to every mainstream media outlet in the country, 17-year-olds can legally carry long guns in Wisconsin. Unlike Gaige Grosskreutz, who has a long record of criminal conduct, Kyle did nothing wrong when he carried that gun. (Re Grosskreutz, the prosecution conveniently dropped all charges against him just six days before the trial, protecting him from an inquisition into his domestic abuse, prowling, trespass, and burglary.)
If you cast your mind back to opening statements on November 2, Binger repeatedly said Kyle shot “unarmed” victims. However, the jury learned that Rosenbaum was swinging a large chain and sought to arm himself with Kyle’s gun; that Anthony Huber was trying to brain Kyle with a skateboard; and that Grosskreutz pointed a loaded gun at Kyle’s head. In other words, Binger lied. Jurors don’t like that.
Binger also told the jurors that Kyle chased Rosenbaum, making Kyle the aggressor. The state’s own eye-witnesses put the lie to this claim, as did every piece of video evidence.
The prosecution’s closing was no better. Another cardinal rule of litigation is never to insult the jury. Yet that’s exactly what Binger did, making light of Rosenbaum’s destructive acts in the lead-up to his death:

Some people may think that the jury may convict Kyle to avoid riots.
I hope they acquit him, knowing that fear of people like Kyle would be the only thing stopping future riots.
If someone is trying to fight you, take your beating. Can’t use a gun to protect yourself.

Rittenhouse won’t last a year in prison if convicted. He’ll either be killed in a jailhouse shower or kill himself in solitary. There’s no outcome here where his life won’t be Hell. Pray for Kyle.

This is a high profile case. The jury and the judge have already been threatened by Black Lives Matter. This kid, if not convicted, could mean that people can defend themselves and property at BLM-Antifa-DNC riots. Akin to people standing up to the brown shirts in Germany prior to the fall of the Republic.
The election events in Wisconsin (Democrat operatives in the ballot room for days unsupervised) it’s hard to believe we are going to see Justice. Further, BLM have infiltrated juries already (George Floyd murder trail). While one white guy shooting three other white guys that attacked him may not have anything to do with BLM at all, it has everything to do with DNC sponsored political violence and media lies.
I like to hope for Justice, but hope isn’t a plan. You can bet the FBI, CIA, State Department, DOJ, have done EVERYTHING they could to smear and destroy justice in this case, including withholding Brady materials.
No matter the verdict, the aforementioned to closely resembles how the NAZI destroyed the German Republic and came to power.
I listened to most of the trial and I never heard once did I hear the defense refer to Kyle as stopping the threat. As we all have discussed here we never talk about shooting someone, everyone agrees if ever involved in a shooting it should always be referred to as stopping a threat and I never heard that once.

Kyle himself testified that he shot to stop the threat. Go back and look at his testimony.
THIS is why the passengers, who watched and taped a women being raped by a naked illegal alien for 40 minutes on the SEPTA train in Philly, did nothing to help her. If anyone had tried to help her THEY would be in jail and tried and the illegal would have been set free to rape again. The criminal goes free in today’s world and anyone who steps in and tries to help is put in jail, tried and sentenced and broke trying to defend themselves.
According to the libs you are not allowed to defend yourself or help others. Criminals have all the rights in todays world.
Mayor Daley once said when there was going to be a riot in Chicago and he came out and said that the police were ordered to “shoot to kill” any rioters. It was the quietest evening in Chicago ever.
I was looking yesterday on all the social media sites and it’s insane how many people think this kid is guilty and I blame the MSM 1000%.
If he is acquitted and there are riots, you can thank the MSM for inciting it. The media IS the #1 problem in this country. They’ve been pulling this crap since the Rodney King riots, misinforming the public, inciting riots and NOTHING happens to them, they ALWAYS try to enrage people.
I told the leftists, look at the recent concert at Houston Astroworld where all those people were crushed and killed. What did the media do? They IMMEDIATELY tried to flame things by claiming the performer Travis Scott knew about the people being killed but kept performing anyway like he was some kind of heartless psychopath.
They didn’t focus on the security, they didn’t focus on the organizers, they immediately picked a target and set out to destroy the guy when the fact of the matter is that when you are on stage it’s very difficult to know what is going on in the audience because of the lights and loud music. But the media despite that right away tried to enrage people making matters worse.
They do this CONSTANTLY because the media in this country is made up of SCUMBAGS who are NEVER held to account.
Yes and it is what a ‘reasonable person’ would do under the circumstances. “Get him! Cranium him! Kill that MFer” shouted around Kyle and guns going off.
Kyle showed amazing restraint and trigger control. Every person that backed up, showed they weren’t a threat - even those carrying pipes and other weapons - he did not shoot. Only the people that physically attacked him were shot and he stopped shooting once they (Gaige) weren’t a threat.
Self defense.
Dems want their rioting ‘action squads’ to have free reign of our cities so if they don’t get their way politically they have that threat.
They even openly said it during the campaign against Trump. Vote him out of office so things can go back to ‘normal.’
The prosecution likely doesn’t believe their own bs. It’s meant for the jury. They just think the jury will buy it and are handing them the “excuse” for a conviction.
Everything they said about self defense is the same crap you hear in the press on a regular basis and there are plenty of gun control nazis that accept that line of “reasoning”.
Politicians who parrot marxism don’t buy that bs either, but they know lots of folks will fall for it an vote for them. The politicians know that implementing such programs just means more money and power for them.
I hope and pray for the correct verdict, but we'll see, and probably today.
