They tried to pass it off as real at first. In fact, a senior McAuliffe campaign official called the event "disqualifying" for Youngkin.
The Lincoln Project retweeted another tweet buying the authenticity of these Youngkin "supporters".
Only after the whole thing blew up, did the Lincoln Project admit it was all theater. Personally, I don't think the Lincoln Project had anything to do with it. All the "actors" were quickly doxxed as Democrat party activists. Lincoln Project was just trying to take the heat off McAuliffe.
Fantastic movie.
No.
In my mind, since torch-bearing robed klansmen are a thing of the past, I didn't associate a tiki torch with the Klan. The torches of the past were "a portable light produced by the flame of a stick of resinous wood or of a flammable material wound about the end of a stick of wood" :
and not the caged/controlled flammable material slowly burning at the end of a pole (a tiki torch):
Attention Marxists!! Stop Gaslighting America!
Tonight on CNN...Youngkin and the grassy knoll, the true story.

Looks more like a gaggle of frat boys to me!
