Repeated over and over.

Because it huts people.
“So what?”
Because that is not right.
“So what?”
Because I think it is wrong.
“So what?”
Because we will call the police.

Sometimes that approach does work.
It definitely drives them nuts when you refuse to accept any false guilt.
