The problem as I see it is the the front landing gear is offset from the centerline of the aircraft. This is to accommodate the gun which is on the centerline.

And the front gear has to be able to handle the stress of the cat pulling the AC and it’s attendant ordinances up to speed quickly. This would require beefing up all the gear. Assemblies which adds weight and probably requires more space in the wheel wells and surrounding areas.

In addition to that, you’ve got the wings that need to fold so the AC can fit on elevators and hanger bays. And the Hog’s wings have considerable span compared to most carrier birds.

I just don’t see it happening.

Based on a hard clad deal the AF has with the Army. Since the AF doesn’t want to spend money on a new close air support aircraft, they have to keep the A-10.

“It’s just as effective” is not false.

There’s no reason to spend billions on weapons of any kind when the Pentagon is run by fools, egomaniacs, commies, and traitors.

We can’t win a war against a stone age culture, we left Americans beind enemy lines... we ran out with our tails between our legs. NOT ONE OF THE ‘GENERALS’ WHO LEADED EVERY DAY TO THEIR WASHINGTON POST BUTT BOYS - EVEN BOTHERED TO ‘LEAK’ TO SAVE AFGHANISTAN.

Save the money - our ‘Generals’ get kickbacks in the form of cushy retirement jobs and they’re already living in multi million dollar mansions in DC...

Seven Generals won World War II - NONE OF ‘EM LIVED IN MANSIONS LIKE AUSTIN. Today we have almost 50 four star ‘Generals’ and they can’t win a war or bring out all their people, or blow up weapons before they’re taken by the enemy... NOT AGAINST HITLER, NOT AGAINST THE JAPANESE - OUR ‘GENERALS’ COULDN’T WIN AGAINST ONE LITTLE NOTHING BACKWARD STONE-AGE COUNTRY.

SAVE THE MONEY. THEY DON’T DESERVE OUR TAX DOLLARS.

I forgot about the wings needing to be folded...all good points. Thanks.
