California Gubernatorial Candidate Larry Elder (R) said that he would replace US Senator Dianne Feinstein(D-CA) with a Republican if she couldn’t continue serving.
Fox News reported:
Larry Elder, a gubernatorial candidate in California’s Gavin Newsom recall election, said he would replace U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat, with a Republican – if Elder becomes governor and Feinstein were to step down during his term.
“God forbid Gov. Elder should replace Dianne Feinstein who nobody’s seen in weeks,” Elder told Mark Levin on his radio show Friday. “I’m told she has a worse mental condition than even Joe Biden. They’re afraid I’m would replace her with a Republican — which I most certainly would do and that would be an earthquake in Washington D.C.”

Anyone with any brains...yeah, I know, California...should assume that he would replace her with a Republican. I don’t know if he was asked, or if he just said “Hey...DiFi’s on the way out the door, so....”

We in MI had to endure Rep. John Dingell (D) who was elected in a special election to replace his father who died in office. From 1955 he stayed in the US House through 2014.(replaced by his wife Debbie Dingell—still in office in 2021.)
He died later at age 92 he had established the longest serving House member in history.
There were articles that said Dingell in his final years would be taken to his House seat by aides who would help him raise his slumped over head to look at the voting going on, which aides would explain to him and they would press the aye or nay vote for him, supposedly according to his quiet voice commands to them.
He couldn’t sit upright without help.

Feinstein was a very good mayor. Kept all the SF whackos at arms length. There were many of them-goes without saying. Once in the senate she didn’t have to cater to the moderates. A good politician. She’s better at that than we are. The problem with these people is when they get into Ruth Bader territory. Strom Thurmond went there too. It works both ways so it’s important to do what the legislators in Kentucky did in case the turtle goes the same way.
