I agree the FDA and CDC did a crappy job funding studies and reviewing the available data. Almost no studies were paid for that didn’t involve vaccines. And the CDC was happy to make Trump look bad by badmouthing HCQ and now Ivermectin. And yes, Ivermectin shows some promise— and studies should continue because treatment of covid will remain a problem.
But compare those statistics with vaccines and you’d have a clear winner. Ivermectin is not a cure— if it were, people in the study wouldn’t have gotten covid, wouldn’t have been in the hospital, would not have needed to go on ventilators, would not have had a fever for 14 days, and would not have died.
Yes, the same can be said for vaccines— but the data will make it clear that a periodic booster will do the best job keeping you from getting covid or getting a serious case. Boosters are unfortunate, but not a huge deal.
Breakthrough cases are almost always super mild. I know 5 people with breakthrough cases and the biggest annoyance was having to quarantine. All had a mild case that felt like a light cold for a single day. Which illness do you want?
Obviously I don’t work for a pharmaceutical company (I write software.). I’m just getting tired of watching conservatives getting mocked on their graves by the Left. A subset of my conservative peers are dying needlessly and making the whole conservative movement look like rubes.
And no one died from consuming Ivermectin unless there was some other substance involved. Prove it or quit lying. I've been taking it since last December with no problems. I started on the horse paste until I was able to procure some tablets and now I take a tablet once a week. I'm still alive and not having any urges to eat hay or roll in the dirt.
So just stop it.
