Why not remove them along with the personnel?
The state department personnel are patriots each and all, are they not, and happy to bear the weight of our nation’s flag?
I think we’re avoiding the quasi-tradition of the ambassador delivering home the flag that flew over a fallen embassy
They likely didn’t have room for the American flags after they took all the LBGT Rainbow flags with them.
