Yep.
Next game is against Iran.
Which team hates America more?
I used to love the Olympics during the ABC Sports/Jim McKay days - swimming, track and field, gymnastics, equestrian, the marathon, plus all the winter sports. I found the teams from other countries interesting and enjoyed the rivalries.
With NBC, politicizing athletics beyond country vs. country rivalries, some anti-American views by athletes who are supposed to be representing the USA, the pro athletes big footing some competitions (you used to have to be at amateur status, I believe at least for a year before the games), and now the fake men competing as women, it is all too tiresome. I think the last time I watched was the 1996 Summer Olympics.
And the events they have now are ridiculous....Skateboarding? Really?!?!?!?!
So true. The one I always looked forward to seeing the most was Vasily Alexeyev.
I miss the "Four Corners".
You are right, you don't follow the NBA. Otherwise you wouldn't make such a demonstrably false statement.
LeBron James averaged 25.0 points, 7.8 assists and 7.7 rebounds in 45 games in 2020-21. Impressive numbers.
We may have to call this: “The Year without Medals”.

I don’t have any plans to watch the Olympics, but if I did I think I would root for the athletics of the countries that are doing the best job of having mass protests against lockdowns and mandates.
The Gregg Popovich era of U.S. Olympic men’s basketball is off to a dreadful start.
What you said about the current unpatriotic, self centered basketball team not being worth rooting for goes double or triple for the mannisg women’s US soccer team. I’m actually rooting against them, rather than being merely disinterested. What ingrates!
Never thought I would be glad to read of a USA loss.
I was also heavy into the Volleyball (real Volleyball, not that beach volleyball garbage) with Karch Kiraly.
Water Polo is another good one to watch.
“Any loss hurts, and this situation hurts more, but life goes on,” USA coach Gregg Popovich said. “This is very important. We would have loved to have won, just like any other team, we would have loved to win games in this tournament. But, we all have family and lives and life moving on.”
I don’t follow basketball closely. However, I think everyone can agree LeBron is still an elite player. However, his racist Anti-American conduct makes cheering for a team he happened to be on cringeworthy.
I was a long time Heat Fan.
Will never be done again.
Eric Heiden is the single greatest Olympian ever.
Jim Thorpe is the single greatest Olympian ever.
Mark Spitz is the single greatest Olympian ever.
We are still getting the silver in skateboarding? (snicker)
